This project was a challenge both logistically and creatively, but sometimes the best results come from the greatest challenges! During COVID, our client Thor Industries reached out only a week before their intended shoot date. They asked if we could go to Maine for one shoot day, and capture enough content of a family traveling through the state to make a short film about their travels around the country together. They asked that we help write, direct, shoot, photograph, and edit the project. All of this with as limited of a crew as possible with the early stages of COVID happening.

We made the most of our one day with the family and shot both video and stills, including drone piloting by Timothy as well, and we took advantage of all 24 hours in the day to make as diverse a piece as possible. In the post-production stages, we were able to fix our cloudier days by replacing key shots with blue skies when appropriate to give some brighter feeling to the shots that we had to capture at the mercy of cloudy weather.

We also combed through hundreds of hours of footage that Sonya has been filming over the last three years and used the best moments to help tell a better story about what it's like to start adventuring after the age of 50.
